May 17, 1960 - January 4, 2020 Larry Bruce Stephens, 59, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Baptist Floyd Health in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on May 17, 1960 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late George S. Stephens and Margaret A. (Miller) Stephens. Bruce was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church near Austin, Indiana. He was a very social person, never meeting a stranger and loved talking to everyone he came into contact with. Bruce also enjoyed listening to music, especially Johnny Cash, watching movies and NASCAR. He idolized all first responders and law enforcement officers and really became excited when he heard sirens or saw emergency lights on their vehicles. Survivors include his brothers, Jay (Dana) Stephens and Douglas A. (Rhonda) Stephens all of Austin, Indiana; several nieces and nephews including Daniel (Barbara) Stephens, Andrea (Adam) Gibson, Bryson (Rachel) Stephens, Lindsay (Ted) Branstetter and great nieces and nephews, Macy, Mya and Clayton Gibson. Roman and Bridey Branstetter. Burial in the New Providence Cemetery
