Doris Evelyn Jacobs, age 86, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully in her home on November 19, 2018. She was born on March 14, 1932, to Clarence and Ethel Jacobs in New Haven, CT. Doris lived life to the fullest. She always kept going and was young at heart. She had a lifelong passion for the outdoors, whether working in the yard or just having fun. Doris loved to help people and was there for others; always asking “What can I do to help?” She readily accepted all challenges. No task was too big or too small. Her legacy is being a role model to those who knew her. Doris’s spirit and energy will live on in all the lives she touched. Those left to cherish Doris’s memory are her sister, Linda Kandetzki, and many friends. An internment will be scheduled at a later date in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 7242 Normandy Boulevard.
