A woman with an active lifestyle, Peggy not only enjoyed browsing the racks and aisles of many different shops, but also the thrill of a trip to the casino in hopes of bringing home big winnings. She also loved the beauty and serenity of riding her family’s pontoon boat followed by a beachside bonfire. Caring for others topped Peggy’s list of attributes, which could be evidenced by her willingness to baby sit and just be with her family.
Peggy leaves behind a loving family to cherish the memories they had with her: husband, David Roberts, Bruce; daughter, Tammy Roberts, Bruce; son, Don (Tina) Williams, Dumas, AR; two grandchildren, David (Bridget) Williams and Lindsey Roberts; and beloved great grandchildren; three sisters, Mavis Peacock, Leesville, LA, Etoyle Thomas, Indianola, and Ruby Watts, Laurel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, AB Hill and Ruby Frances Hutchins, and one sister Ann Shoemake.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 5:00-8:00PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce.
A funeral service remembering Peggy’s life will take place Sunday, January 4, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Home with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating.
John Austin Bray, Chris Burress, W.R. “Chick” Hensley, Dennis Mitchell, David Williams, and Don Williams will serve the family as pallbearers.
Peggy will be laid to rest in the Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw, Mississippi.
