GARCIA, Heather Katherine was born the first day of January, 1977. She passed away tragically July 16, 2015 after struggling for many years with bipolar illness. She was a beautiful girl who combined a brilliant mind and a loving nature that drew family and friends to her. She found deep happiness with her two sons, Ian and Robert, and recently with her fiance, Jeff. Ultimately her illness stole much of her happiness, and even her life. Even so, she was devoted to her family and rarely missed a family gathering. She loved all the world's creatures, and gave safe homes to many of them, from snakes to cats and dogs. Heather graduated from Hillsborough Community College in 1999, and was most recently working in the service industry. She is survived by her two sons, fiance, her mother, Mary Garcia; and three brothers, Peter Collins, David Collins, and Michael Garcia; her aunt, Teresa Brandt; and grandfather, Peter Pullara. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Ralph Garcia; grandmothers, Harriett Pullara, and Kitty Garcia; and aunt Joan Beall. Heather's wish to be an organ donor was honored through Lifelink. Knowing she was able to give new life to others is a comfort to her family.
