Marion – Edna Louise Parks, age 97, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 7:10 a.m. in Parkway Manor.

Louise was born on September 28, 1922 to Bernie and Ada (Stone) Cawthon in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She married Earl Parks on February 13, 1943 in Crab Orchard, Illinois and together they were blessed with four wonderful daughters.
Louise was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Danny) of Marion, Katie (Mike) of Christopher, Illinois and J Parks of Marion; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Brenda May; two grandsons, Eric Bean and Britt Adams; one brother, Bill Cawthon; one sister, Geneva Larkin; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, Marion on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Marion.

Visitation will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, Marion on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
