Ruthie Mae Scruggs Wilson, 79, Indianapolis, died Sept. 20, 2003. She was born July 22, 1924 in Galiton, TN. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker who also worked at Ayr-Way from 1970-1975. She was a member of Church of Christ, S. Keystone and in Allen, TN. She loved raising African violets. Services: 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 22. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Rahea E. Wilson; daughters, Rita Fay Hollaway and Patricia Mae York; brothers, Donald Ray and Larry Martin; and two grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Charles E. Wilson; daughter, Barbara Cannon; sister, Dorothy Baskerville; brothers, Edward, Hollis, Billy and Paul Scruggs; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
