Ronald was born on April 27, 1951, in Alpena to Harold and Lillian (Precord) Carpenter. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his four sons, Travis (Stacy) Carpenter, Craig (Erika) Carpenter, Adam (Bobbi) Carpenter, Thomas Carpenter; 6 grandchildren, Cole, Landon, Clarissa, Nadia, Miles, Liam; mother, Lillian Carpenter; 5 siblings, Raymond Carpenter, Mary Muszynski, Julie (Larry) Sproul, June (Paul) Kelsch, Jeannie Ellis; sister-in-law, Ruth Carpenter; special companion, Kathy Closs; several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his father, Harold Carpenter; and brother, Gene Carpenter.
A celebration of Ron’s life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been handled by Bannan Funeral Home.
