Lisa Irene Mason, 53, died peacefully in her sleep, September 23, 2015. She was born July 30, 1962, and grew up in Richmond, before settling in Hampton in 1995.
She is survived by her parents, Moses C, Mason, Jr. and Lucy H. Mason, of Richmond, and her brother, Robert C. Mason , also of Richmond. She also has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Others that she considered family are Lei Lani Lucero and her son, Patrick, of Hampton, Lori and Ricky Myers, of Hopewell, along with their three children, Audrey Galvan, and her husband, Juan, of South Carolina, along with their seven children.
Lisa was a member of the Hampton Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association, a NRA Firearms instructor, and a former Private Investigator and Security Officer. She graduated Cum Laude from Kaplan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Lisa’s sudden death is a gentle reminder to let the people in your life know how much they mean to you, because every day is a gift, and tomorrow is not guaranteed. A service was held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Armistead Avenue on Saturday, October 24, at 1:00 p.m.
