Roger D. Carey, 84, of Warsaw, IN passed on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Lake City Place in Warsaw, IN. He was born on October 27, 1932 in Huntington, IN to Russell D. & Arlene L. (Prough) Carey.
He graduated from Huntington High School and Huntington College. He retired from the Huntington County Community Schools as a 6th grade Social Studies Teacher after many years. He lived in Huntington most of his life before moving to Warsaw, IN in 2015.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Huntington and was a board member & volunteer for the Salvation Army in Huntington.
He is survived by seven Nieces & Nephews; many Great, and Great Great Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Nancy Burchard, and brother – Bob Carey.
Cremation will take place at the Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, IN.
A graveside service was held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Gardens of Memory in Huntington, IN.
Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, IN., handled the arrangements.
