WOOSTER - Sue Ann Berry, 63, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 2, 2020, due to ALS, she was surrounded by family.

Sue Ann was born October 5, 1956 in Millersburg, OH to Walter and Ella Sue (Patterson) Tipton. She was a graduate of West Holmes High School and Kentucky Christian College, majoring in Bible Studies with a minor in music. On June 2, 2002 she married Randall Berry and he survives. She was a farmer’s wife, helping on the family farm she so loved. She was a great cook and a wonderful wife, stepmother and grandmother. She loved taking long walks with Reba, the family dog, and enjoyed family time showing sheep at the Wayne County Fair and attending radio controlled tractor pulls. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, never missing an opportunity to watch or listen to the games.

She was a member of Ripley Church of Christ. In the past she was a pitcher on the church softball team and had many involvements in the music programs.

Sue Ann retired from the Ohio Agriculture Research and Development Center after 30 years of service as a research assistant.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her father, Walter Tipton of Shreve; brother, Norman (Gretchen) Tipton of Shreve; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herb (Anita) Berry of Wooster; step-children, Joseph Berry of Wooster, Nicole (Jeb) Beeman of Smithville; step grandchild, Jacob Beeman of Smithville; brother-in-law and his wife, Stan (Leslie) Berry of Wooster; sister-in-law and her husband, Kim (Terry) Heim of Wooster.

Preceding Sue Ann in death was her mother and brother, Maurice Tipton.

Family and friends may call Sunday, January 5th from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Ripley Church of Christ, Big Prairie. Private family services will be Monday, January 6th with Pastor Tom Benter and Pastor Jeremiah Stivers officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Pioneer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to: Northeast Ohio ALS Chapter, LifeCare Hospice, Ripley Church of Christ Cemetery Association or the New Pittsburg Fire and EMS.
