Mrs. Rose Champion, age 77, of Pryorsburg passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her residence.

She attended Mt. Olive Methodist Church and she was a retired co-owner of the Pryorsburg Market.

Mrs. Champion is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ralph Champion, Jr.; four sons, Chuck (Lori) Choate, David (Dani) Choate, Scott Champion and Chris (Kelly) Champion all of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Deborah (Lesley Kent) Choate of New Orleans, LA and Jeanna (Steve) Champion Tucker of Wingo, KY; one brother, Robert (Martha) Blackmon of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Doris Stahl of Mesquite, TX, Jane (Jim) Williams of Medina, TN and Margaret Blackmon of Memphis, TN; eight grandchildren, Dustin Choate of Reidland, KY, Jessica Choate of Wingo, KY, Daphne (Daniel) Riley of Mayfield, KY, Stephen (Christine) Tucker of Wingo, KY, Kenny (Jennie) Tucker of Wingo, KY, Nichole Champion of Mayfield, KY, Austin Champion of Mayfield, KY and Trevor Champion of Mayfield, KY; ten great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Boldreghini and her parents, Clint and Mary Chatham Blackmon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Champion will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Keith Osborne will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Choate, Stephen Tucker, Kenny Tucker, Austin Champion, Trevor Champion and Daniel Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Daphne Riley, Jessica Choate and Nichole Champion.
