Jack Denver Rogers, 86, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Tennessee and was raised in Erwin, TN and lived in California, Michigan and Ohio. After his retirement from AK Steel in Middletown, Ohio he returned to Tennessee in 2011.

Jack was a faithful member of Freedom Fellowship. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with his girls and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Minnie Rogers; brothers, Ed Rogers and Howard Rogers; and sisters, Velma Lewis and Peggy Rogers.

Survivors include his daughters, Renee' Mize and Vicki (Robert) Piersall, all of Cleveland, Sheri (Paul) Harper of Delano and Dawn Vanover of Benton; six grandchildren, Erin Rogers, Cody Mize, Jackie McDonald, Ashley Taylor, Kirstie Chambers and Christopher Hampton; nine great grandchildren; sister, Marie Tison of Alexandria, Louisiana; brother, Johnny (Saundra) Rogers of London, KY; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 in the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Evans officiating. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Bumpus Cove Cemetery in Erwin. His family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
