MARSHALL ROBERTS, JR, 82, of Houston passed away on July 20, 2007. Marshall was a former Sr. Captain of the Houston Fire Department. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving both a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. A big fan of the University of Texas, he was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Houston, and the Cornerstone Class. He is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, and one son. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Roberts, daughter, Marsha, and sons, Daryl, David, and Henry. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 23, at First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway. Interment in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Houston Missions, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024, or The 100 Club, 1233 West Loop South, Suite 1250, Houston, TX 77027.
