Beverley Rosemary Lyon Cox, age 68, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday January 1, 2020.
Beverley was born October 22, 1951 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Nancy Hutchins Lyon and Gale William Lyon.
Beverley was a 1975 graduate of Bob Jones University. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, reading, and listening to music. In addition, Beverley loved her family and especially grandchildren visits.
Beverley was of the Baptist faith and attended Hampton Park Baptist Church and Suber Road Baptist Church.
Beverley is survived by her husband, Barton David Cox of Greenville, SC; son David A. Cox (Heather) of Green Bay, WI; son Matthew W. Cox (Erica) of Travelers Rest, SC; and daughter Christina C. Petty (Josh) of Lyman, SC; brother Timothy W. Lyon of Concord, NC, sister Martha Lyon Robbins (Bob) of Winston Salem, NC and sister Jan E. Lyon of Concord, NC. Beverley also leaves seven grandchildren to cherish her memory.
Beverley was preceded in death by; father Gale William Lyon and mother Nancy Hutchins Lyon; brother Daniel A. Lyon and sister Suzanne Lyon Bunnelle.
A visitation for Beverley will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the funeral service in Graceland East Memorial Park, Simpsonville, SC.
