Mary Alice Stewart Redding, age 76, died on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at a local nursing home in George West. She was born to Wabon Stewart and Frances Simmons Stewart on November 17, 1942 in Three Rivers, Texas.
She was a nurse in the healthcare industry, and after her illness Mary Alice became a longtime resident of the nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wabon Stewart and Frances Simmons Stewart,her husband John Redding, her brother Vernon “Chubby” Stewart, sister Joyce Carroll, sister Margaret Roberson, Step-mother Bessie Teague Stewart and stepbrother Roy Teague.
Survivors include her daughter Lisa Gayle Sikes of Austin, siblings Georgia Conaway of Huntington Beach California; Sidney (Phyllis) Stewart of Three Rivers; Dorothy (Douglas) Taylor of Whitsett; Bobby (Lisa) Stewart of Three Rivers and Sue (Tommy) McNeill of Three Rivers; Step sister Odell (Don) Udy of Waller and Step-brother Owen Teague of Three Rivers.
She was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 6 PM at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Sidney Stewart will officiate the service. Pallbearers are Bernie Wilmot, Jamie Carroll, Bobby Stewart, Jimmy Stewart, David Taylor and Lealand Taylor.
