Died of pneumonia related issues.

Karen was born to Raymond Jean (Gene) Spencer and Freda Marie (Schulte) Spencer, the youngest of four Children

Karen is survived by two brothers and one sister: Ronald G. Spencer of Birmingham, MI, Larry W. Spencer and Lesli, Jefferson City, MO, Betty G. (Spencer) McDowell and James, Eldon, MO

Karen is also survived by nieces and nephews Russ McDowell, Brad McDowell, Geoff Spencer, Kadi Spencer, Jake Spencer and great nieces and nephews, Colt McDowell, Parker Spencer, Georgia Spencer, Emma Hood and Reglan Hood. Karen is also survived by three step great nieces and nephew, Kelsie, Koda and Emma Wright. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Freda Spencer and a beloved sister in law Virginia (Spencely) Spencer. Karen hand many special Aunts and Uncles and is also survived by more cousins than most people could count, but she knew the names of every one and their offspring and loved them all. Her group of friends consisted of every one she had ever met.

Karen was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she knew the name of every church member she had ever met due to unlimited memory. Karen will be sadly missed by so many.

Karen attended state school 55 in Eldon, MO and then went to work for Sheltered Workshop in Versailles, MO. She worked there until the opening of Gateway Industries in Eldon, MO. She completed a total of 37 years in those two facilities and received her 35-year pin before retirement due to her health. Karen loved country music and dancing and knew every word to every song. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. She never tired of spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, January 6, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Deacon Chet Zuck officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery. Memorials in her name are suggested to Gateway Industries of Eldon, MO.
