Obituary for Mrs. Nettie Mae Thompson
Nettie Thompson was born on July 18, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the union
of Theodore and Essie Blackshire. She was the youngest of 5 children. The
family moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1950. She received her formal education
from the Milwaukee Public Schools system.

Nettie Thompson was baptized as a Jehovah's witness in 1975. Nettie loved to
talk with her family and neighbors about the bible and the hope she enjoyed of
living forever in paradise on earth. She took pride in her attire and especially
when she dressed to attend congregation meetings of worship and the Kingdom
Hall, assemblies, and conventions. Nettie also loved to cook, shop, garden, and
knit.

Nettie Thompson was married to Paul Thompson for 25 years. Together they
had 7 children. Nettie was devoted to her family and taught unwavering family
values.

Nettie Thompson departed this life on September 2,2016. She was preceded in
death by her parents: Theodore and Essie Blackshire; One sister: Dean
Blackshire; Two brothers: Willie Smith (Willie Mae), and Hiawatha Blackshire.

Nettie Thompson leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Paulette
Thompson, Kathryn Ashley (Jarvis), Felicia Wilkins (Michael), and Paula
Thomas (Tracy); Three sons: Paul Thompson Jr. (Yolanda), Edward Thompson
(Delphia), and Andre Thompson; One grandaughter (raised as her daughter):
Tiffany Means; One brother: Roosevelt Blackshire (Dorothy); Her beloved 34
grandchildren, 41great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other
relatives and dear friends.
