Our vast and brilliant father, John JJ Alladio, lived a life by his terms and his determinations. John was a indomitable spirit, creative when creative was not well embraced, he reached beyond his times. He was a third generation grocer, he worked at Safeway like his father did before him. He discovered his sobriety and sanity at the Beacon House in Pacific Grove California through the 12-step program that anchored him to a better way of behavior from the issues he faced, and he maintained that grasp till the end of his life. He created the Hermit Crab craze out of Key West Florida in the early 1970's. He made beautiful brass, silver and tourquoise jewelry, he sold them at Kareka and other places he traveled. He was industrious, strong and willful. He taught his children how to strive for effort, hard work and giving their best every day. He worked for Kareka in Key West and Hyannis, Massachusetts. When He fought battles and strived beyond the roadblocks and turmoil and dedicated himself to understanding truth and reckoning with it. He loved his children and grandchildren, the women in his life and cherished his Jungian methods as a way to stay on course when his spirit was low, he lifted higher. He battled cancer his entire adult life, 2 different types of brain cancer and endured the hardships, surgeries and side effects, but never lost his will or his way. He did well.

We were blessed to be part of his life.
