Rose Mary Augenstein, 65, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at the Arbors. She was born July 18, 1954 in Marietta to the late Edward and Agnes Gurnsey Offenberger.

She was a 1972 Fort Frye High School graduate. Rose was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and formerly of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

Rose is survived by two sons; Chuck Augenstein (Lisa) of Bartlett, Paul Augenstein of Marietta; three grandchildren, Collin Richards, Christopher Richards, Sydney Augenstein; two sisters, Victoria Kase of Atascadero, CA, Rita Offenberger of Marietta; two brothers, Phillip Offenberger of Newort, NC, Daniel Offenberger of New Bern, NC and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Martin Offenberger. Also, by her special friend, Dennis Christian.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, with Rev. David Gaydosik as celebrant. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawely & Peoples Funeral Home. Cawley& Peoples Funeral Home is honored to serve Rose’s family
