Mr. Kohlbeck was born January 24, 1911 in Cato, son of the late Joseph and Frances Vogel Kohlbeck. He attended schools at Clarks Mills. On June 28, 1938 he married the former Flossie Brunner at St. Michaels Catholic church, Whitelaw. Sep worked for the Bouril & Ames Motors in Manitowoc and retired from the Manitowoc County Highway Department in 1976. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Whitelaw Sportsmans Club, a life member of the Whitelaw Fire Department and was a former trustee, constable and village president of the village of Whitelaw. Sep was an avid fisherman and hunter and his vegetable garden was his summer hobbie.
Survivors include his wife, Flossie, Whitelaw; one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Rita Kohlbeck, Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Brian Kohlbeck and his wife, Teresa, St. Paul, Minn.; Cheryl Kohlbeck, Whitefish Bay, Wis. and her fiancé, Keith Halverson; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Kohlbeck, St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marion and Ed Lenz, Manitowoc, Dorothy Pearson, Manitowoc; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law include Hattie Kohlbeck, Manitowoc, Marie Kohlbeck, Green Bay, Raymond and Emogene Brunner, Whitelaw, Genrose and William Falvey, Manitowoc, Kathleen Brunner, Whitelaw; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Todd; three brothers, Frank, Mike and Leo; two sisters, Cecelia Vogel and Clara Spaeth.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville. Father Heymen will pray the rosary at 7 p.m.
