With deepest sorrow, we at Henryhand Funeral Home, regret to announce the passing of Mr. Sherman Lee Greene, 63, of Andrews, SC, a Welder, who passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Williamsburg Regional Hospital, Kingstree, SC.
Sherman was born February 17, 1956, in Georgetown County, South Carolina, to the late Cornelius Wesley Greene and the late Daisy Graham Greene.
Sherman was educated in the Georgetown County Public Schools. Growing up in the Kent Community, Sherman developed a strong work ethic. He developed his welding and mechanical skills at White's Welding, Three-D Metal Works, and McDaniels Industries. He worked at White's Welding until his health declined.
Sherman joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and was a proud member of the Morrisville Hunting Club.
"Kool Greene"- a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Sherman maintained a jovial spirit through it all. He was grateful for his family and friends. He absolutely loved the attention from his family and the time spent with all!
Sherman was preceded in death by a brother, Cornelius Wesley Greene.
Sherman leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Darienne Tisdale of Columbia SC, Valshia Fassett (Quintin) of San Antonio, TX and Shakena Kendrick (Johnny) of Goose Creek, SC; son, Sherman Greene, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; nine grandchildren; sisters, Martha Brown of Rochester, NY, Margaret (Samuel) Edwards of Georgetown, SC, Ethel G. Wright of Georgetown, SC, Asmeretta (Roosevelt) Giles of Andrews, SC, and Cynthia Greene of Lithonia, GA; brothers, Gerald (Yvonne) Greene of Georgetown, SC and Alton (Patricia) Greene of Andrews, SC; a sister-in-law, Iris Greene of Andrews, SC; aunts, Ida Chandler of Rochester, NY and Virginia Robinson of Wilmington, NC; uncles, Harold Brown of Rochester, NY and Silas Brown of Andrews, SC; several nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
