Major League Baseball Player. He played Major League baseball as a pitcher for fifteen seasons (1953 to 1967) with the St. Louis Browns/Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Kansas City Athletics, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, Houston Colt .45's/Houston Astros, and and the Chicago Cubs. As a member of the 1956 Yankees, he made Major League baseball history when he pitched a Perfect Game in Game 5 of the World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers. It was the sixth perfect game ever pitched and is to date is the only no-hitter and perfect game in World Series history.
