Jamie Stephens passed away on Monday, April 2nd peacefully in her home.

Jamie was born December 19, 1941, in Brady, Texas, the daughter of Perry and Cleo (Adams) Wartenbach. She was raised and attended schools in Mason, Texas. She was employed at Mason ISD as the Food Service Director and also drove the Band Bus to all the away football games, to their UIL competitions and any other special events.

After moving to College Station in 2003, she drove a bus for that CSISD that served the special needs students, until her retirement a few years ago. Jamie was the President of the Activities Committee at Terrace Pines Apartment complex, member of the Lost Chord Club and a member of Wellborn Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Stephens, a grandson, Charles Matthew McCarty, and her parents, Perry & Cleo Wartenbach.

Survivors include her three daughters, Melony Ponzio & her husband John, Deborah Shenton & her husband Paul Lilley, and Pamela Leifeste & her husband Cole; seven grandchildren, Carrie Danheim, Jordan Ponzio, Clarissa Ponzio, Jason Burns, Bryan Burns, Lindsy Burns, and Dustin Leifeste; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 4th at the Gooch Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
