Ruth L. Franklin, 86, of Marshall, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018.
Ruth was born September 13, 1931 in Madison County to the late Herman and Lillie Goldsmith Lunsford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Franklin, sister, Linda Brown Waters, and son in-law, Ivan Griffin.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Barbara Roberts (Kenneth), Brenda Griffin, Phyllis Bechtol (Vincent) and Judy Carver (Leroy); grandchildren: Tonya Bechtol, Matthew Bechtol, Matthew Roberts, TJ Griffin, Chris Griffin, Amanda Worley, Michael Griffin, Jennifer Lewis, Stephanie Moore, Susan Whitt, Anthony Carver, Lashay Carver, Travis Carver and Austin Carver; fifteen great grandchildren; and special friend, Clifford Shetley.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Reverends Joseph Sluder and Ricky Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the Goldsmith Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, May 26th.
