DOWLING PARK -- George Henry Turner, a retired agent and supervisor for the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, died July 27, 1994, after a long illness.

A native of Boston, GA, Mr. Turner moved to Dowling Park eight years ago from Gainesville, where he lived for 51 years. Mr. Turner was the son of the late George Henry Turner Sr. of Ocala. He grew up in Ocala, and graduated from Ocala High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, and a former member of the Gainesville Kiwanis Club and Knights of Pythias.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Bailey Turner, Dowling Park; daughter, Bette Turner Hicks, Gainesville; brother, Jack Ewing Turner, Tallahassee; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
