He was born on October 3, 1979 in Decatur, IL the son of Steven E. Bright and Ruth (Rhodeman) Lawrence. He married Ashley L. Dodd and they were later divorced. Jason worked as a laborer for various construction companies in the area. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville and Kincaid Church of God in Kincaid.
He is survived by his Sons: Jayden Bright of Taylorville, IL; Jason Dylan of Moweaqua, IL; Father: Steven E. Bright of Moweaqua, IL; Step-Children: Devin Skinner, Alexis Dodd, Mackenzie Skinner all of Taylorville, IL; Brother: Steven M. Bright of Moweaqua, IL; Sister: Chapel Bright of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother: Ruth Lawrence and his step-mother: Elizabeth K. Bright.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Celebration of Life will be held following the visitation starting at 11:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
