Janet T. Meyer, age 87, of Le Sueur passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12 from 4pm to 7pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center with rosary at 3:45pm and prayer service with Father Chris Shofner at 6:30pm. Interment will be held in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.
Janet was born on February 3, 1932 in St. Peter to Lawrence and Frances (Young) Biehn. She was a graduate from Mankato High School. Janet was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Meyer on November 17, 1952 at St. John Catholic Church in Mankato.
Janet was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. She loved going to church and loved praying.
Janet is survived by her children, Steve (Julie) Meyer of Lakeville, Pat Meyer of Royal Oak, MI., Tim Meyer of Chanhassen, and Larry Meyer of Fontana, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas Meyer of Minneapolis, and Jacob Meyer of Lakeville.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob”, son, Michael; her parents; and siblings.
