Gerald W. Fitzgerald December 28, 2019 Gerald W. "Jerry" Fitzgerald, 80, of North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday. Born in Utica to the late Martin James, Sr. and Winifred White Fitzgerald, he was also predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth "Jill" Humphry and brother, Martin "Rusty" Fitzgerald, Jr. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Anne (Kallies) on July 13, 2019, he is survived by their sons, Sean (Susanne) Fitzgerald, William Fitzgerald, Brian Fitzgerald and Martin (Laurie) Fitzgerald; a brother, Timothy (Mary Ellen) Fitzgerald; brother-in-law, Robert Humphry; sister-in-law, Patricia Fitzgerald; five grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Shane, Aidan and Finn and several nieces and nephews. Jerry lived in North Syracuse since 1971 when he was first employed by P.J. Green, Inc., and retired as CEO in 2011. As a Liverpool Rotary Club member, he was past president, past secretary and Rotarian of the Year. At St. Rose of Lima Church and School, he was an active communicant, an usher, two year trustee, a member of the Thursday Men's Prayer Group, the original Endowment Fund Committee and the original School Board. Jerry enjoyed his camp in the Adirondacks, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 3 to 6 pm at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse. On Friday, Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 409 South Main Street, North Syracuse. Private burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
