Christina Jean Parker, Christy, of Benton, La was born April 24, 1974 to Viola Jean and Michael Eugene Parker of Amarillo, Texas. She grew up in Georgia where she met her husband Pete Shawn Cobb in 1998. She was a loving and nurturing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was always there to comfort you, be an ear to listen, and would always give you advice no matter what the situation. She was a momma to more than just her own children also. She had the biggest heart and her door was always open to anyone in need. Her hobbies included spending time with her family and friends, reading, and making jewelry and many other crafts. Christy loved to spend time outdoors, especially working on cars.

Christy passed away tragically in a house fire on 12-24-2019, after her husband bravely attempted several times to try to save her. She is preceded in death by her mother Viola Parker; grandmother, Beatrice Powers; grandmother, Ethelyn Fitzgerald; father-in-law, Pete Cobb; stepmother-in-law, Pat Cobb; and brother-in-law Jack Cobb.

She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Pete Shawn Cobb; son Justin Parker; son Shayne Black, daughter-in-law Meagan Black, and their two children Zander and Makenzie Black; stepdaughter Danielle Strunk and fiancé Aaron Perdue, and their two children LilaMae Don and Mary Jane Perdue; her father Michael Parker; brothers Mikey and John Parker; mother-in-law Janice Cobb; brother-in-law’s Travis, and wife Lynn Cobb; Wade, and wife Remona Cobb; sister-in-law’s Lisa and husband Mike Baker; and Sonya and husband John Griffin; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A memorial service for Christina Parker will be held on Monday, December 30th at 3:00pm at Auld’s Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, La 71115. Officiating the services will be Brother Wayne Craig and Brother Robert Beadle. Honorary pallbearers will be Shayne Black, Justin Parker, Pete Cobb, Wade Cobb, John Parker, Mikey Parker, Kaleb Weaver, Tory Nation.
