Obituary
Martin Cutler Cox, age 92, passed away on October 20, 2019 at his home in Alamo, Nevada. He was born on July 19, 1927 in Alamo, Nevada to Joseph S Cox and Edna Cutler. He married Marilyn Durrant on August 17, 1951.
Martin served in the US Navy during WWII and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA. He worked as a Computer-aided Designer at Hughes Aircraft. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Martin was a dedicated, loving husband and father. His family was everything to him. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was so grateful for them.
Martin had a special talent for singing and shared it throughout his lifetime. He also had deep appreciation for music and was an accomplished gardener. He filled numerous journals with his life stories, thoughts and feelings of his heart.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Cox of Alamo, NV. His sons Blair Martin (Teresa) Cox of Rimrock, AZ, and Gregory Kenneth (Duk Hee) Cox of Westlake Village, CA. Along with 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Shelley Cox.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Alamo LDS chapel. Interment
will be in the Alamo Cemetery under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary.
