He was preceded in death by his Father, Jimmy Mitchell, grandparents Sam and Lottie Minton and William and Pearl Mitchell; Uncles and aunts Jess Mitchell, Calli Sizemore, Boots Odum, Mary Whitt, Ruth Mitchell, Betty Hodges, Aaron Minton, Jimmy Minton, and Valice Blevins. Father- in-law, Victor Willis.
In addition to his wife Annette, he is survived by his mother, Frances “Rita” Mitchell, son, Justin and Tabetha Mitchell, daughter, Teersa and Zac Stidham; grandchildren, Justin, Jake, and Alyssa Mitchell, Zaiden and Aubree Stidham; brother, Rickey Joe (Sabrina) Mitchell and sister, Rita “Sissie” Mitchell; mother- in- law, Sue Willis and Danny Rice. Additional brothers and sisters, Carolyn (Earl) Edwards, Vickie (Gary) Turner, Patty (Rob) Croyle, Beck (Dub) Bartley, Matt Willis, Adam Willis, Gary (Joy) Willis, Patsy Ramsey. Uncles and Aunts Allen (Anna) Minton, Jane (R.L) Crawford, Mary Foster, Ann Wallace, and Maxie (Millard) Laney. Several nieces and nephews. A host of friends and family celebrate his life.
Funeral services for Jimmy Samuel Mitchell will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. L. Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens in Coeburn. Visitation will be held after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Estes Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave. NE, Coeburn, VA.
