Mrs. Bowen was born June 11, 1926 in Richmond, VA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Cole and Edith Marie Bowles Lloyd and wife of the late Earnest Alvin Stansbury and the late Raymond Brent Bowen.
Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia Spence and Theresa Woods; sons, Alvin Keith and Dennis Stansbury; nine grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, in the Nelsen Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Burial will be in Springfield Christian Church Cemetery, Rockville, VA.
