Johnny Goodman, 79 of Paragould, died Saturday at his residence surrounded by his family. Johnny was a retired tool and die maker for Tenneco and a member of East Side Baptist Church. He was a mason and an avid Arkansas State Fan and a Cardinal Fan.
Johnny was born November 8, 1940, to Frank and Midge Mowery Goodman who preceded him in death as well as brothers, Sonny and Jerry Goodman.
Survivors include his wife, Lanell White Goodman of the home; daughter, Jennifer (Shawn) Howington of Paragould; grandson, Lane Luther; of Paragould; sister Anne Jones of Valley View.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Heath Funeral Home with Packy Magel officiating. Jason Linam was soloist. Pallbearers: Tim and Terry Dowler, Jerry Lynn, Lindy, and Terry Goodman, Darrel Rowland, and Bill Reinhart. Honorary Pallbearers: Roy Draffen, Gaylon Anderson, Doyne Shaw, Teddy Goodman, Eddie Gene Wright, Scott Watson, Winfred Cox, Kelly Wright, Ray Noel, and J.W. Dial. Burial will follow in Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery.
