Henry C. Terwilleger
Henry C. Terwilleger, 89, of 3350 Collister Dr. #101, Boise, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1987, in a Boise nursing home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the Boise Friends Church. Pastor Harold Antrim will officiate, under direction of the Alden-Waggoner Chapel. Burial will follow in Terrace Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Terwilleger, a retired farmer, was born July 27, in Missouri. He married Lucy Morrison on Dec. 30, 1925, at Jamieson, Ore. After living two years in Fruitland, Idaho, they moved to Boise and spent the next 61 years in love.
Henry and Lucy found spiritual guidance in Jesus Christ, and were active members of the Boise Friends Church since 1973.
Henry spent thousands of hours at their Hill Road home working to keep the garden and grounds the envy of all who passed by each year. He was quick to share the garden with those in need, and took many items to local nursing homes.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Don and Rosa Terwilleger of Walden, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Jessie and Lester Scott of Vale, Ore.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Boise Friends Church, 7751 Goddard St., Boise 83704.
Friends may call today from noon until 9 p.m. at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel in Boise.
