Etta May was married to Leslie J. Patterson. Twin sons, Edward Lee and Paul Jean Patterson were born in 1922. Both sons were in service during World War II. Edward Lee "Pat" Patterson was killed on March 24, 1945 on a bombing run over Germany onboard the B-24, the "Green Hornet".
