Audrey S. Briggs passed away peacefully Saturday, July 20, 2002 after suffering from a stroke the past four years.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was born July 29, 1916 in Bountiful, UT to Harvey Earl Spencer and Florence Hermanson Spencer.

She was raised in Farmington, UT and graduated from Davis High. She married Alvin B. Briggs July 3, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked for Utah Oil Co., Harry's Dutch Oven and Utah Food Service. She lived in the state of Washington for 10 years on a 250 acre farm. In 1964, she moved to Bountiful, where she spent the rest of her life.

She was a devoted wife and mother. The love of her life were her children and grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent with them. She loved to sew, cook and quilt. She always planned ahead and had an afghan or quilt ready for a grandchild's wedding or a new baby. She was always there when someone needed help. She rendered service all of her life. She was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions. Some included Relief Society president and Primary secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin; children, Stan Briggs (Pheonix), Connie Ericksen (Centerville), Corey Briggs (Indianapolis); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, June Jackson (Bountiful).

Services will be 1 p.m. Thurs. July 25, 2002, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. Friends may call Wed. July 24, 2002, 6-8 p.m., Russon Brothers Mortuary, and Thurs. 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p..m. prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
