In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Joseph E. (Lowanna) Moss, Jr., Patricia Ann Wood, Tina Ann (Steve) King, Lisa Lynn Jackson, Starlett Jean (Troy) Oaks, and Robin Maria (Sean) Flanigan; 24 grandchildren, Brett, Rachel, Timothy, and Jessica Moss, Katherine Moore, Robin Andrews, Anne Avilla, Dallas Gill, Trish Hinderliter, Jami Fewkes, Melissa Blankenship, Travis Forth, Mary Moss, Mark Johnson, Louise Logan, Amber Gerrish, Jeff King, Jennifer Martin, Joseph King, Chloe, Kylie, and Cameron Oaks, and Harmony and Deaglan Flanigan; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verena June Steingass.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Viola Forth; a son, Samuel Edward Moss; two brothers, Cluster Edward Moss and John William Moss; and sisters, Viola Mae Phillips, Vivian Omcinski, Delores "Dee" Wallace, Mildred Gum, and Lillian Lynn Erlinger.
Joe worked as a logger for over 35 years at Forth Lumber Company; 7 years as a crane operator for Wayne Iron Metal in Ft. Wayne, IN, and also worked for General Cable in St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Wisetown Baptist Church in Greenville with Pastor Tom Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM until time of services on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Wisetown Baptist Church in Greenville.
