Patrick Joseph Patterson ,90, former resident of Levittown for 35 years, passed quietly in Denton Md near his sons home. Born in Bronx, NY, he is the son of Michael Patterson and Kathleen ( Maloney ) Patterson. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Mary Theresa Patterson who passed 22 Sept 2019. Pat was a Korean War veteran. He followed his service by working over 30 years as a police officer for the New York City Police Department. After his retirement from NYPD he continued to work 10 years for Global Shipping. Pat was know for his happy disposition, always willing to help and for taking great care of his family. Patrick is the father of 3 sons, Dennis, Edward and James. He is preceded in death by his daughter Ann Marie who passed in 1967. He is grandfather to Sarah, Graham, Jennifer, Catherine (Iskra) and Jonathan Patterson. He is great grandfather to Maddie and Finn. A mass will be held at St Bernard’s Catholic Church in Levittown, NY on 9 Jan 2020 at 1100. A burial will follow at Long Island National Veterans Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
