Donnie Hunter
Donald (Donnie) Hunter of Saluda, NC, entered Heavens Gates on Friday December 6, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born December 7, 1947 and raised in Hendersonville, NC, he passed just about an hour shy of his 72nd birthday. He co-owned Quality Sheet Metal for over 25 years with his brother Tommy Hunter. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 51 years Linda Pace Hunter and his son Lee Hunter. Two grandchildren Jordan and Jackson Hunter and the joy of his life great grand daughter Anna Grace Hunter. A brother Larry Hunter of LA California and special Aunt Burdette Holbert of Hendersonville. In laws are Margaret and Lloyd Morgan, Gwen Garren, Curtis and Levina Pace, Wesley and Jennifer Pace, Anita and Tim Hoots, Melia and Jeff Bradley and Judy Hunter., step dad Tom Travers. Special cousins Steve and Terry (Dottie) Gibbs. Many nieces and nephews he held dear to his heart.
Preceding him in death was his mother Fern Holbert, his brother Tommy Hunter, nephew Terry Hunter, father in law J.B. Pace and mother in law Charlene Pace Travers, grandparents Gertis and Essie Holbert.
Graveside services to be held Sunday December 15, 2019 at 3pm in Saluda City Cemetery in Saluda, NC.
