Mr. Jimmy Glen Harper, age 72, of Tallapoosa, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019.

He was born on May 27, 1947, in Buchanan to the late Barney Glen Harper and the late Lucille Ploof Harper Kilgore.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Jane Sherbert.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Thomas of Tallapoosa; three daughters, Angel Harper Worthy of Buchanan, Melissa Williams (James) Bates of Alabama, and Misty Williams (Sam) Ogden of Bremen; three sons, Jimmy Glynn Harper, Jr. of Buchanan, Chris (Tracy) Williams of Dallas, and Hayden Williams of Tallapoosa; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda Sue (Robert, Jr.) Burnes of Bremen; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Lisa) Harper of Tallapoosa, Danny (Vicky) Harper of Douglasville, and Donnie (Jennifer) Harper of Temple; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated following the visitation.
