RICHARD LEE WYNNE, SR. born August 4, 1921 in Lake Charles, LA passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lera Jean Spencer Wynne; son Rick Wynne, Jr. and wife Kathy; daughters Patty Wynne Leitzel and husband Greg and Judy Wynne Chappell and husband Larry; granddaughters Kristina, Rebecca, and Kimberly Wynne, and Tracy Chappell; and several loving nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his mother Zula Wynne and his sisters Margie Meissner, Floy Coons, and Beverly Mohair. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army having received the rank of 1st. Lieutenant. He graduated from the University of Houston with a BBA degree and South Texas College of Law with a Jurist Doctorate Degree. He was a member and held the position of Dean in the Fraternity Delta Theta Phi, and was a member of the Houston Bar Association. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. Retired from Tenneco Oil Company in 1983 as Manager of Natural Gas Regulation, he was fondly called "Father Ferc" for his extensive work on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Private graveside services were held on Monday, January 30, 2006.
