Grace Marie Hamme Garrett, 88, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Granville Medical Center.

She was born November 6, 1931 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Richard Henry Hamme and the Late Marie Anderson Hamme. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oxford and was a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. John Yount and Rev. Johnny Yount. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Eakes Funeral home in Oxford and at other times the home of Ronnie Garrett.

Surviving are her husband, Carlton G. Garrett of Oxford; four sons, Ronnie D. Garrett (Wanda) of Oxford, Scott W. Garrett (Shelia) of Clayton, Richard H. Garrett (Leslie) of Rougemont, Allen C. Garrett (Laura) of Greenville; a sister, Sallie H. Jackson of Oxford; two granddaughters, five grandsons and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 140 College St. Oxford, NC 27565
