Danielle Rose Carpenter passed away December 15, 2019 in Houston, TX after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Danielle was born in West, TX on March 15, 1938. She was the oldest of five children born to Daniel and Agnes Girard. Danielle attended Deer Park High School. She attended St. Thomas University and received a Nursing degree from Dominican College. Danielle married her high school sweetheart, James Alfred Carpenter on January 6, 1962.
As a registered nurse, she started her career at St. Joseph's Hospital, Houston, TX and retired from The University of Texas Student Health Center, Austin, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Denis; sister, Bibiana; and husband, James A. Carpenter. Danielle is survived by her sons, Scott William Carpenter, John Alfred Carpenter and wife Michele; daughter, Anne Marie Carpenter; grandchildren, Connor, Casey, Colleen, and Callie Carpenter; sisters, Genevieve (Rick) Loggins and Valerie (Patrick)Doyle; and nieces and nephews. She leaves many friends and family in Houston, Austin and central Texas.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025. Internment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale at 2:30 p.m.
