Lois Madeline McDonald Smith, 92, of Clarkrange, Tennessee, passed away Thursday,
December 26, 2019, at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County in Jamestown, Tennessee.

Mrs. Smith was born February 24, 1927, in Ivyton, Tennessee. She worked for many years as a
drugstore clerk in Dayton, Ohio. She was also a longtime member of the fraternal organization
Order of the Eastern Star. She loved spoiling her granddaughters and great-granddaughters,
eating fast food, shopping and listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son and her daughter-in-law, Clifton and Yvonne Baldwin of Port
Clinton, Ohio; granddaughters Amy (Jefferson) George of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Cristy
(George) Brinegar of Columbus, Ohio; great-granddaughters Lucy and Penny George of
Charlotte and Georgia and Charlie Brinegar of Columbus; sister-in-law Dora McDonald of
Clarkrange; and five nieces and a nephew.


Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Smith; her father, James Harris
McDonald; her mother, Jimmie Edna (Beaty) McDonald; and her brothers, Leslie McDonald and
Sheldon “Sam” McDonald.


A memorial service and celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2020. Interment of
ashes will take place at Green Acres Memory Gardens in Crossville, Tennessee.
Mundy Funeral Home of Clarkrange will handle all arrangements.
