Janet E. Myers, 81, passed away in her home on December 24, 2019. She was born in Hartford City on July 31, 1938 to the late Estle and Ruth (Smith) Anderson.
Janet lived most of her life in Gas City. She married Richard L. Myers on February 19, 1961. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2013. Janet began her working career at Knox Glass Company (Midwest Glass) and then worked for RCA from the mid 1960’s until 1991. In her early years she attended Hartford City Calvary Pentecostal Church and in 1976 she began attending Bethel Worship Center where she was an active and faithful member. In addition to going to church Janet enjoyed word puzzles, reading and she was always entertained by the television shows COPS and Live P.D. Janet will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her charm and her sweet and generous heart.
She is survived by her children, R. Todd (Theresa) Myers, Marion; Tamara L. (Kevin) Thompson, Sweetser; Mark W. Mills, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Randy J. (Faith) Mills, New Haven; Rusty (Vicki), Fruitland Park, Florida; sisters, Marilyn (Harold) Van Gordon, Upland; Karen (John) Lex, Hartford City; 21 Grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Janet is also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Bell.
