Louisville - Joyce Gail Wells, 81, of South Louisville passed away on Monday May 13, 2019. Joyce was born on February 23, 1938 in McHenry, KY to the late Lawrence and Venie Baize. She was retired from the old Methodist Hospital. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Melvin Wells, and a daughter, Sheila Jackson. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Pamela Stivers; a brother, Lawrence Baize, Jr.; a half sister, Ethel Figueroa; a half brother, Leon Baize; 2 grandsons and a great grand daughter. Funeral service for Mrs. Wells will be held at 10 am Friday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to the KY Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared with the family at, www.archlheadysouthernfh.com.
