He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Class of 1954, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering.
Lou served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was Honorably Discharged.
In 1959, he began his career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Transportation. He retired in 1986 as Assistant District Engineer for District 8-0, in Dauphin County. He was also a Licensed Surveyor.
Lou was a member of the Robert H. Hoke American Legion Post 272 of Linglestown.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed oil painting and traveling the globe.
Lou is survived by his son: Daniel of Harrisburg; and, by his granddaughters: Victoria K. and Caroline K. also of Harrisburg.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be held on December 31, 2019 at 11:30 AM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
