Scott Wayne Watson, 48, of Oakland, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at his home.

Born October 23, 1971, he was the son of Gary Wayne Watson and wife, Vickie, Homosassa, FL and Betty Lou (Holler) Holland and husband, Thomas, Oakland.

Scott was the Project Manager at Dan Ryan Builders, Greater Pittsburgh Division. He was a multi-sport athlete at Southern Garrett High School, attended West Virginia University and was a graduate of Potomac State College. Scott was an avid golfer and a member of the Oakland Country Club. He was a Boston Red Sox fan and loved music and picking his guitar.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Matthew Ryan Watson and wife, Sarah, McHenry, MD; one daughter, Siara Brooke Pope, Cumming, GA; one step-brother, Jamie Cooper and wife, Tammy, Moorefield, WV; one sister, Tracy Brenneman and husband, Doug, Accident, MD; five grandchildren, Denver, Eastyn, Asher, Alannah, Siggy; one nephew, Mason; one niece, Braelyn; his faithful dog companion, Otis Leroy; numerous cousins; and a very large extended family in Charlotte, NC.

Friends will be received at Crossroads Church, 17781 Garrett Hwy., Oakland, MD, 21550 on Monday, December 30, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads, with Pastor Dave Marsh officiating. At Scott’s request, he will be cremated.
