Louella Burns Sims Williams, “Babone”, age 93 of Cleveland passed away on December 27, 2019 at her home with
her loving family by her side. A visitation will be held at Cleveland Church of God on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A celebration of Life service will immediately follow. Interment will be at Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery In Cleveland, MS following the service.
Louella was born July 5, 1926 to Charlie Harper and Willie Kyzer Burns in Cleveland, MS. She grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland High School. She worked for Baxter for thirteen years before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then nursed for over twenty years. She became a member of the Cleveland Church of God in 1951 and has remained a lifetime faithful member. She loved to drink hot black coffee, loved to cook for her family, as well as sewing and gardening. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and lately, her great granddaughter. She was generous and unselfishly gave to family, church, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Harper and Willie Kyzer Burns, husbands; Herbert M. Sims, Lewis Lusk, Leroy Williams, one daughter, Linda S. Stafford, two sisters; Ruby Scrivner, Vila Baker, five brothers; Norman Burns, Albert Burns, Gene Burns, C.H. Burns, Willie Burns, and one son-in-law, Genie McCreary.
She is survived by one son, Hubert M. Sims (Lupe) of Orafino, ID, two daughters; Patty S. Haynes(Tommy), Susan McCreary of Cleveland, MS, one sister, Frances Williamson of Madison, MS, sister-in-law, Katie Sims of Grace, MS, son-in-law, Ray Stafford of Little Rock, AR, grandchildren; Paula Luna (Keith), Wendy Moon (Rodney) of Cleveland, MS, Tommy Haynes Jr. (Jo) , Darryl McCreary (Brittney) of Merigold, MS, Bobbie Jo Simpson (Collier) of Madison, MS, Erin Venable (Jeff Stinson), Chris Farlow of Little Rock, AR, Great Grandchildren; Brittney L. Oubre (Bryce), Jack Haynes, Shelby H Blackwell (Kyle), Ryan Moon (Raven), Mallory Moon (Sam), Cas Simpson, Yerger Simpson, Taft Simpson, Kyzer Simpson, Mary Gratham McCreary, Annabelle McCreary, Great Great Granddaughter, Hadleigh St. Clair, and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
Words cannot come close to expressing the appreciation to Mallory Moon, , Great Granddaughter, and Caretaker, she dedicated six years of her life to care for our Mother with all the love and care known. She became my mothers’ best friend and mother loved her dearly.
Appreciation to Mother’s caregivers, Diane Horton, Brenda Douglas, Rea Houston, and Sha Douglas.
