Donna F. Gardner, 78, of Muncy, died Friday, December 27, 2019 at her home at 2052 Moreland Baptist Road.

Cause of death progressive decline.

Born October 4, 1941 in Mifflinville, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Mabel N. (Diltz) Levan. Her husband of 53 years, Ivan Wayne Gardner, preceded her in death on March 10, 2017.

Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed reading, puzzles, canning, gardening and yard sailing. She also loved fishing and her trips to Benezette and Seneca Lake area of New York. One of Donna’s greatest joys was having family and friends visit her family farm, as she eagerly welcomed everyone. Donna’s faith was very important to her and she was a member of the Radiant Light Assembly of God Church, Muncy.

Surviving are four daughters, Deborah A. (Michael) Sullivan of Muncy, Bonnie L. (Raymond) Lunger of Unityville, Melissa M. (Todd) Clayton of Unityville, and Joan E. Gardner of Muncy; a son, Robert W. (Cathy) Gardner of Muncy; two sisters, Gloria (Dave) Bittner and Joan (Pete) Welgus; three brothers, Ted (Lana) Heaps, Connie (Judy) Levan, and Robert (Jane) Levan; eight grandchildren, Dustin (Ashley) Gardner, Sierra Sullivan, Amanda (Phil) Kehoe, Joseph Gardner, Chelsea (Darren) Heddings, Kaitlin Lunger, Ryan Clayton, and Jessica Lunger; and a great-grandson, Benjamin W. Gardner.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by three sisters, Elva Shaffer, June Steward, and Dot Long; and three brothers, Harold Levan, Charlie Heaps, and William Heaps.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Pastor Rick Dilena officiating. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to Radiant Light Assembly of God Church, 9565 Rt. 442 Hwy., Muncy, PA 17756.
